DescriptionACQUISITION DATE: 1990SOURCE: direct OWNER HISTORY: 1 DIMENSIONS: 13x18 STOCK: art stock CREATION DATE: 1989 SIGNATURE: yes PUBLICATION: August 1989 Super intense rendition of everyone's favorite Canadian runt X-mutant. Used as a back cover for the 10th issue of Wolverine's first ongoing series. It's probably not a coincidence that it was issued only a few months after Kent's Havok & Wolverine Meltdown mini series. Now I can't help but wonder if this was some sly sort of advertising tie in, or if the piece was just a practice or try out illustration. It certainly makes for a great character study by Kent. Maybe it was an un-used illustration for the series. But whether it was originally a part of Meltdown or done specifically for this back cover, one thing's for sure, it's one of the most interesting and unique interpretations of the character I've ever seen! Then again, this IS Kent Williams we're talking about here! Social/Sharing |

Okay Eric, now that I see this again, I can disregard my comment on the other Williams Wolverine. THIS* this is it. The topper. Since you have THIS*, it's no matter about the other one, this pup is a fav of mine. Ever since I was a wee lad Wolverine issue 10 was always my favorite, and this is the feature image. So ZING* You lost the other, but you actually have the prize still. What's with all of these other clowns offering multiple zeros to you for this huh? NOOOOOO!
