DescriptionLove the cover-quality title logo, as well as the birds-eye of a NYC street with great shots of the Turtles and April exiting a sewer. With all the art from issues 1 & 2 locked away, this is the earliest Turtles page you’ll likely see. And in hand, it’s simply stunning; there are so many subtle details and shadows that were lost or washed out in the published image but can now be seen in all its glory. The cool sepia tones created when adding the developing chemicals to the Graphix Duo-Shade boards really are something special. This issue was during the early pre-Turtlemania years when Eastman & Laird still did everything in the book: writing, art, toning, layouts, and lettering. I’ve been so fortunate to land several amazing pieces through the years but this one is truly special. Social/Sharing |

I love the bird's eye perspective, I love the moment, but that hand-lettered title is the centerpiece!
